Sensing an opportunity in the global outsourcing industry, Mr Shah and his team offer a host of telephony solutions, making them a key player in Voice Over Internet Protocol (VoIP) solutions space. They have developed an omni channel solution, with an automated 360-degree reporting and monitoring model. It can integrate various communication channels such as voice, video, email, SMS, chat, social media integration, screen sharing etc., for a unified communication experience.

The enterprise offers its solutions to numerous industry verticals in India and 50+ countries worldwide.

In conversation with GlobalLinker (GL), Mr Mehul Shah (MS) shares his business journey.

GL: Tell us about your business.

MS: The journey of Elision TechnoLab LLP started in 2011 when I decided to kick-start my business idea of delivering innovative telephony solutions.

We started with a core team of talented professionals that had rich experience in voice infrastructure and network technology. We provide businesses with custom telephony and business solutions such as call centre solution, IP PBX (telephone switching system within an enterprise), voice broadcasting, web conferencing, CRM integration, etc.
In addition, we have created a unique omnichannel communication system that can benefit various industries.

 

GL: What is the USP of your business?

MS: We have many unique features which make our solutions the best in the industry, but if I were name our strongest USPs then I would say it is our client-centric and omnichannel solutions for enhanced productivity. Being part of the customer service industry, we have an innate commitment to provide the best customer service.

GL: What are the challenges you have faced in establishing your business?

MS: Bringing a pool of talent and creating a collaborative environment was difficult initially. We have gone through a rigorous process of recruiting, training, identifying and assigning the leaders for each department and creating a collaborative environment.

GL: What has been your greatest learning as an entrepreneur?

MS: Providing a good working environment within the organisation, maintaining good terms with customers and commitment towards work leads to faster business growth. We live up to our motto: We deliver what we commit.

GL: How do you believe GlobalLinker benefits business owners? How did TradeConnect help you as an entrepreneur?

MS: GlobalLinker is an awesome cross-border networking platform for SMEs to collaborate with different types of businesses. It provides a comprehensive list of businesses one can engage with, based on their business vision and mission.

I see this platform being extremely useful for SMEs to engage and network with other organisations globally and, adopt new technologies and best practices to become more successful.

 

I was fortunate to be selected for the TradeConnect event organised by GlobalLinker in Singapore. This was GlobalLinker’s flagship event for cross border knowledge and trade. World-class arrangements made this a memorable event. I am happy to share that the networking and learning experience at TradeConnect was amazing and winning the award of ‘Best Company Social Media Marketer' of TradeConnect’ was the icing on the cake. I had a chance to discuss business opportunities with other delegates and we will have further discussions with some of them to explore mutual business grounds.

GL: What is your big business dream?

MS: Like most SMEs, our dream is to become bigger in terms of revenue, relevance and to be the most implemented telephony brand. Today, we have our presence across 50+ countries worldwide and we want to make our business a globally recognised brand with an exciting and innovative team.

GL: What is your message to aspiring entrepreneurs?

MS: I believe that a problem is nothing, just a lack of solution. You will face challenges at every stage of your business growth, but don’t focus on problems, only focus on the solution to those problems. This will help you to grow faster by removing all hurdles in your way. Be committed to your work and always maintain a high morale. This is the key to success.
