Enterprise: Meditantras
Founder & Managing Director: Vineet Kumar
Industry: Business Services & Consultancy
Year it was founded: 2015
Location: Gurgaon, Haryana

The brainchild of Vineet Kumar, Meditantras provides advice, coaching and mentoring for sales leaders and senior executives in the healthcare industry. Meditantras has also partnered with Spain based biotechnology company Life Length to provide Telomere Length Analysis (TAT) Test in India. Telomeres are an important biomarker in the body, that help to identify true biological age and this test enables doctors to develop personalised plans to improve quality of life and slow down the aging process.

In conversation with GlobalLinker (GL), Vineet shares his business vision and journey.

GL: Vineet, what motivated you to establish Meditantras?

Vineet: Prior to starting Meditantras, I had worked my entire career in saving neonatal lives. When I got an opportunity to work towards improving quality of life for the elders, I thought this is it. My entrepreneur journey started with the objective of caring for the old. My vision is to have an atmosphere where people can have disease free life. The Telomere Analysis Technology (TAT) can revolutionise how we approach aging and diseases related to old age.

My business is a gateway to good health by providing diagnostic and preventive healthcare services.

GL: How have raised awareness for your niche business offerings?

Vineet: We have leveraged various offline and online means to raise awareness about our business, be it word of mouth, digital marketing, social media campaigns, door to door campaigns, workshops and seminars.

GL: What are challenges for your business to grow bigger, better and faster from here?

Vineet:
The biggest challenge is to convince people to take this expensive test. People still have healthcare as their least priority. People don’t mind spending huge amount on treatment but are hesitant to spend on preventive healthcare.

To tackle the price resistance, I am approaching high-end clubs, health resorts and gyms and fitness centres to promote my business. Down the line when my business gathers greater momentum, I will be concentrating on ancillary healthcare verticals.

I believe in offering solutions to the problems people face, rather just highlighting the problems. My associate company, Life Sutras, offers customised packages for holistic health and wellbeing.

GL: What is your leadership style?

Vineet: My leadership style is based on inclusiveness. To me, my helper who serves water, my account guy who raises invoices or my sales team, are all equally important. I give due respect to all my workers who in return give their best at work. A highly motivated team working towards a common goal can give better results as compared to a highly skilled team without any direction and motivation. So, for me ‘motivation’ is the key word.

GL: You are a Linker. Which offerings of GlobalLinker have helped you?

Vineet: I think knowledge sharing is the key to help my business grow via GlobalLinker. Any SME can thrive better on a knowledge sharing platform.

GL: What advice would you give to a new entrepreneur setting up their first business?

Vineet: An entrepreneur must have self-belief, must not succumb to pressure. S/he must realise that results take time, but hard work does not go waste. You must be consistent in your efforts.

GL: What is next on your business agenda?

Vineet: I plan to increase the scope of my business from Telomere testing to Food Sensitivity testing and Hair Mineral testing. Meditantras will focus on becoming the hub of innovative Diagnostic Testing. I also plan to Increase the scope of Life Sutras to include more areas where health (body/mind/spirit) matters. Both Meditantras and Life Sutras can together offer  a complete solution for lifelong good health.

GL: We would love to know the person behind the entrepreneur.
